A parliamentary panel is set to review several critical issues in the education sector, including the NEET paper leak, CBSE Open School Module (OSM) challenges, and the language policy, during meetings scheduled for June 1 and 2. According to an official notice issued by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, the meetings will take place at the Parliament House Annexe Extension in New Delhi.
Focus on NEET Paper Leak
The panel will delve into the circumstances surrounding the NEET paper leak, which has raised concerns about the integrity of the examination process. The review aims to identify lapses and recommend measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
CBSE Open School Module Issues
Another key agenda is the evaluation of the CBSE Open School Module, which has faced operational and accessibility challenges. The panel will assess the module's implementation and suggest improvements to ensure better learning outcomes for students.
Language Policy Review
The committee will also examine the language policy in education, particularly its impact on students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Discussions will focus on balancing the promotion of regional languages with the need for a common medium of instruction.
The meetings are part of the panel's ongoing efforts to address systemic issues in the education sector. The outcomes are expected to influence policy decisions and administrative reforms.
