PSEB Introduces OSM System

Earlier, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced that the state would implement the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluation. Under this system, teachers evaluate scanned copies of answer sheets digitally instead of checking physical answer booklets. According to the minister, the process is expected to make result preparation faster and more accurate. Each answer booklet has been designed with a unique QR code for secure scanning and digital processing. After scanning, the answer sheets are uploaded to a centralised dashboard where examiners assess them online using structured marking schemes. The system also automatically calculates marks and allows real-time monitoring of evaluation progress.

Previous Years’ Pass Percentage

Last year, the Punjab Board declared the Class 10 results on May 16 and recorded an overall pass percentage of 96.61 per cent. In 2024, the result was announced on April 18, with the overall pass percentage standing at 97.24 per cent.
