Ranchi: The district administration is preparing for the re-examination of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), scheduled to be held at 21 centres across the state capital on June 21. On Thursday, prohibitory orders were issued for a 200-metre radius around the examination centres.
Prohibitory Orders in Effect
The order will be in effect from 12 pm to 8 pm on the day of the examination, according to Ranchi sub-divisional officer Kumar Rajat. The measure aims to prevent unauthorised assembly of anti-social elements near the centres. Gathering of five or more people, use of loudspeakers, movement with arms, ammunition, or traditional weapons, and organisation of public meetings will be prohibited during this period.
NTA Coordination Meeting
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is conducting the examination, will hold an online meeting on Friday with district officials across the country to discuss ways to ensure a free and fair examination. Ranchi deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri stated, “All instructions given by NTA for the conduct of the examination will be strictly followed. The district administration will also deploy magistrates with police force at the examination centres.”
Coaching Institutes Prepare Aspirants
In the lead-up to the examination, coaching institutions are conducting refresher courses for NEET aspirants. Pankaj Singh, head of a leading coaching institution, advised, “Students should revise topics they are weak in. They should also focus on time management during NEET, especially if the questions are lengthy.” The district administration remains vigilant to ensure a smooth and secure examination process.
