Railway Employee Dead Inside Locked House in Chennai

Chennai: The decomposed body of a railway employee was discovered inside his locked residence in Kolathur on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Raghupathi, 52, a resident of Bhagavathy Amman Temple Street in Kolathur, worked as a locomotive driver.

Family Details

His wife, Priyanka, resides in Salem, while his daughter, Sophia, stays with relatives. According to police, Raghupathi was last seen on Monday night.

Discovery of the Body

When his younger brother was unable to contact him over the phone, he visited the house on Thursday morning, only to notice a foul odor emanating from inside. Police were alerted, and they recovered the body, sending it to Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for postmortem examination.

Investigation

A case has been registered, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of death. Authorities are probing the circumstances and have not ruled out any possibilities.
