The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the application correction window for the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2026 Semester examination. Candidates who have successfully registered for this exam can now make necessary modifications to their application forms through the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/swayam.
Correction Window Details
According to the official notice released by the NTA, the correction facility will be available from May 15 to May 17, 2026, until 11:50 PM. This is a one-time opportunity for candidates to rectify any errors or update their details before the final submission.
Exam Schedule and Mode
The SWAYAM January 2026 Semester examination is scheduled to be conducted over five days: May 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2026. The test will be held at various examination centers across the country. The exam will be conducted in hybrid mode, which includes both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen and Paper format, giving candidates flexibility in their choice of test-taking method.
Editable Fields in SWAYAM Application Form
As per Annexure 1 of the official notice, candidates are permitted to edit the following details during the correction window:
- Candidate name
- Father's name
- Mother's name
- Photograph upload
- Signature upload
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category/PwBD
- University and college details
- Examination city selection (all four preferences)
- Course selection
However, candidates will not be allowed to change their registered mobile number and email address under any circumstances.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The NTA has clarified that additional fees may apply if changes in category, PwBD status, or course selection affect the examination fee. The extra amount, if applicable, must be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The agency also emphasized that only one-time correction is permitted. Once the modified form is submitted, it will be frozen and no further edits will be allowed. Candidates are strongly advised to carefully review all particulars before making final submissions to avoid any discrepancies.
