The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE), Hyderabad, has officially declared the results for the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE) conducted in May and June 2026. These examinations were held for both General and Vocational streams, catering to students who needed to improve their scores or clear supplementary papers.

Examination Schedule and Evaluation Process

The supplementary examinations were conducted from May 13, 2026, to May 21, 2026, while the practical examinations took place from May 22, 2026, to May 25, 2026. According to the board, a total of 3,98,459 students appeared for the first-year and second-year supplementary examinations across 889 examination centres spread throughout the state. The evaluation of answer scripts was carried out at 17 spot valuation centres before the finalisation of results.

First-Year Results: Overall Pass Percentage of 68.84%

In the first year, 2,67,331 candidates from both General and Vocational streams appeared for the examination. Of these, 1,84,042 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 68.84%. The General stream recorded a pass percentage of 68.71%, while the Vocational stream performed slightly better with a pass percentage of 70.88%.

First-Year IPASE 2026 Results Summary

  • General Stream: 2,50,421 candidates appeared, 1,72,056 passed (69% pass rate).
  • Vocational Stream: 16,910 candidates appeared, 11,986 passed (70.88% pass rate).
  • Total: 2,67,331 candidates appeared, 1,84,042 passed (68.84% pass rate).

Among the successful candidates, 92,960 secured an A grade with 75% or more marks. Additionally, 45,736 students obtained a B grade, 26,906 secured a C grade, and 18,440 candidates passed with a D grade. The board also reported that 1,22,964 candidates improved their performance through the supplementary examinations, while 1,44,367 were categorised under non-improvement.

Gender-Wise Performance in First Year

Girls once again outperformed boys in the first-year examinations. A total of 1,23,974 girls appeared, of whom 94,343 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 76.10%. Among boys, 1,43,356 appeared and 89,698 qualified, taking the pass percentage to 62.57%. The board stated that four candidates were booked under malpractice cases in the first-year examination, while no results were withheld.

Second-Year Results: Pass Percentage Stands at 49.29%

For the second year, 1,31,128 candidates appeared across General and Vocational streams. A total of 64,639 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 49.29%. The General stream registered a pass percentage of 47.70%, while the Vocational stream recorded a significantly higher pass percentage of 65.43%. Most successful candidates cleared the examination through compartmental passes. The board reported 64,582 compartmental passes, comprising 56,847 in the General stream and 7,735 in the Vocational stream.

  • Vocational Stream: 11,821 candidates appeared, 7,735 passed (65.43% pass rate).
  • Total: 1,31,128 candidates appeared, 64,639 passed (49.29% pass rate).

The second-year grade distribution included 35 candidates in A grade, 19 in B grade, two in C grade and one in D grade. Gender-wise, girls again recorded a higher success rate than boys. Out of 47,395 girls who appeared, 24,910 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 52.56%. Among boys, 83,733 appeared and 39,729 qualified, with a pass percentage of 47.45%. The board reported five malpractice cases in the second-year examinations, and two candidates in the General stream were kept under the withheld category.

The results cover both General and Vocational courses conducted under the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations held by TGBIE across Telangana.
