The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has announced that students can apply for copies of their answer scripts through their respective schools from 11:00 AM on May 12 to 5:00 PM on May 16. Only those who obtain these copies will be eligible to apply for re-totalling or revaluation, which is scheduled between June 5 and June 8, according to a circular issued by the DGE.
Application Process for Private and Arrear Candidates
Private candidates and Class XI (arrear) candidates can also apply for answer script copies through their examination centres during the same dates. The fee for each copy is ₹275, payable in cash at the school or centre through which the application is made. The department will announce the date for downloading copies of answer scripts online on the DGE TN website at a later stage.
Downloading Statements of Marks
School heads are instructed to download the statements of marks for their schools from the DGE website starting May 13. These statements must be verified for accuracy, signed, and stamped with the school seal before being distributed to students. Additionally, students and private candidates can independently download their statements of marks by logging in with their date of birth and exam registration number from the official website.
Correction of Errors in Statements
The circular further states: "If there are any errors in the student's name, date of birth, initials, photograph or medium of instruction, the corrections should be made by the headmaster/headmistress and kept ready. The corrected statements should then be attested and issued to students." This ensures that all personal details are accurate before the final documents are distributed.
Students are advised to check for any discrepancies and get them corrected promptly. For more information, visit the official DGE Tamil Nadu website.
