Tripura Board Class 10, 12 Exam Dates Released

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has officially unveiled the examination schedule for the upcoming Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) board examinations. Thousands of students across the state are set to begin their academic milestone tests starting from the last week of February 2025.

Official Exam Dates and Timeline

In a press briefing held at the board's office on Monday, TBSE President Dr Dhananjay Ganchaudhuri provided a detailed breakdown of the examination calendar. The crucial Class 12 board examinations will commence on February 25 and are scheduled to run until March 30. For Class 10 students, the Madhyamik examinations will begin a day later on February 26, concluding on March 24.

Dr Ganchaudhuri also confirmed the schedules for Madrasa examinations, noting that the Madrasa Alim exams will align with the Madhyamik schedule. Meanwhile, the Madrasa Fazil arts examinations will run from February 25 to March 23, and the Madrasa Fazil theology examinations will be held from February 25 to March 16.

Subject-Wise Schedule and Student Enrollment

The board has released a comprehensive day-by-day subject schedule to help students plan their final preparations effectively.

Class 12 Exam Schedule

The Higher Secondary exams kick off with the English paper. The subsequent days will see students appearing for languages including Bengali, Hindi, Kokborok, and Mizo on February 27. Major subjects are spread across March, with Business Studies, Education, and Physics on March 7, Accountancy, Biology, and History on March 13, and Mathematics and Philosophy scheduled for March 23. The exams will wrap up with vocational subjects on March 30.

Class 10 Exam Schedule

Similar to Class 12, the Madhyamik exams also begin with English. Key dates include Social Science papers on March 6, language papers on March 10, Science subjects on March 14, and both levels of Mathematics on March 19. The Class 10 board exams will conclude with vocational subjects on March 24.

According to TBSE Secretary Dr Dulal Dey, the current enrollment figures show a strong turnout. 38,135 students have registered for the Class 10 examinations, while 29,943 students have enrolled for the Class 12 exams. Dr Dey indicated that these numbers are provisional and may see a slight increase as the final registration window is still open.

Practical Exams and Registration Portal

In a significant update for students, Dr Dey announced that the practical examinations will be conducted from November 17 to December 1. This gives students ample time to complete the practical component of their syllabus before focusing solely on the theory papers.

The secretary also reminded students and schools that the TBSE online portal for examination registration is currently active and will remain open throughout the month. All eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their registration process promptly to avoid any last-minute complications.

Comparing the current enrollment with the previous academic year, the numbers show a healthy trend. Last year, over 21,000 Class 12 students and more than 30,000 Class 10 students appeared for their respective board examinations. The current figures suggest a similar or potentially higher participation rate for the 2025 examinations, reflecting the growing number of students in the state's education system.
