Extended Deadline Details
According to the public notice released by NTA, the last date for online submission of application forms was extended from May 20, 2026, to May 23, 2026, until 10:00 AM. The deadline for payment of examination fees via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and UPI has been extended until 11:50 PM today. The agency has clarified that this extension was provided only once and no additional time will be allowed.
Final Advisory for Applicants
NTA has instructed candidates to complete the entire process online, including fee payment, to be considered eligible for the examination. After successful submission, applicants must download and retain the confirmation page. Only those who successfully pay the fee will be treated as having completed the application process.

Examination Schedule and Eligibility
The UGC NET June 2026 application process began on April 29, 2026. The examination is scheduled to be conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, in Computer Based Test mode for eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor posts, and PhD admissions.
Correction Window and Admit Cards
The correction window for submitted forms will remain open from May 25 to May 27, 2026. Exam city intimation slips are expected to be released by June 10, while admit cards are scheduled for release by June 15.

- General category: Rs 1,150
- OBC and EWS categories: Rs 600
- SC, ST, and PwD categories: Rs 325
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Final-year postgraduate students and candidates holding a four-year bachelor's degree with 75% marks are also eligible under specified conditions.
