The UP Joint B.Ed. Entrance Examination 2026 was conducted on Sunday across 19 centres in Kanpur, with 16,430 out of 18,336 registered candidates appearing for the test. The examination was held in two shifts under strict CCTV surveillance.
Examination Details
Each shift had approximately 9,168 examinees enrolled. In the first shift, held from 9 am to 12 noon, 8,211 candidates were present, while 957 remained absent. The second shift, conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm, saw 8,219 candidates take the exam, with 949 absentees.
Conduct and Monitoring
Bundelkhand University was responsible for conducting the Joint B.Ed. Entrance Examination this year. The district administration installed CCTV cameras at all 19 centres, and the examination was monitored live from a central control room. Sector magistrates appointed by the district magistrate, along with observers from Bundelkhand University, CSJMU nodal officer Rakesh Kumar Mishra, nodal coordinator B.P. Singh, and Kanpur Nagar coordinator Neeraj Kumar, conducted intensive inspections of all centres and continuously reviewed the arrangements.
Candidate Feedback
Candidates who appeared for the exam shared mixed reactions. Shobhana Mishra, who took the first shift paper, described the question paper as moderate. Another candidate, Parul Katiyar, praised the excellent arrangements, noting that she faced no difficulties after arriving at the centre ahead of schedule. Most candidates described the paper as balanced. Subject-specific questions were asked in the second shift.
