The official declaration will take place at 10:30 AM, and students will be able to access their individual scorecards online from 11 AM onwards. Candidates who appeared for the Class 12 board examinations can check their marks through the official result portals by entering their roll number. The council has also arranged for the distribution of original certificates and mark sheets through designated centers across the state.

Steps to Download WB HS Result 2026 Online

Students can follow the process given below to access their results online once the scorecards are released:

  1. Visit the official result website.
  2. Click on the link for “WB HS Result 2026”.
  3. Enter the Class 12 roll number in the login window.
  4. Submit the details.
  5. The digital mark sheet will appear on the screen.
  6. Download and save the result copy for future use.

Students are advised to retain a printed copy of the provisional result until schools distribute the original mark sheets.

How to Download WB HS Result 2026 Through DigiLocker

Apart from the official websites, candidates will also be able to obtain their digital mark sheets through DigiLocker. To download the scorecard through DigiLocker, students need to visit the official website or mobile application and log in using their registered mobile number and security PIN. New users can complete the registration process using an Aadhaar-linked mobile number. After logging in, students should open the “Issued Documents” section and select education documents or board examination certificates. Candidates must then choose the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education from the available list and enter details such as roll number and examination year to access the digital mark sheet. The downloaded scorecard can be saved for future reference.

Examination Details and Pass Criteria

The Higher Secondary examinations in West Bengal were held from February 12 to February 27, 2026. Approximately 7.1 lakh candidates appeared for the examinations this year, including more than 6.35 lakh students from 6,837 schools across 23 districts. Students must obtain at least 30 percent marks in every subject to qualify. The board has stated that candidates are also required to secure a minimum of 30 percent marks separately in theory and practical or project components. The council has further announced that hard copies of mark sheets, pass certificates, and registration certificates will be distributed from 11 AM on May 14 through 56 distribution centers across the state.

Additional Methods to Check Results

In addition to the official websites and DigiLocker, students can also access their results through the UMANG App by selecting board examination services and entering roll details. SMS services may also be available; students should keep their roll number ready as instructions will be released once results are officially announced.

Previous Year Pass Percentage

Last year, the WBCHSE announced the WB HS Results on May 7, 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 90.79 percent. A total of 4,73,919 students had appeared for the examination in 2025. Boys recorded a pass percentage of 93 percent, while girls secured a pass percentage of 88.88 percent. The board is expected to release detailed performance data for 2026 along with the official declaration of results.

Important Notes for Students

Students are advised to keep their roll numbers handy and ensure a stable internet connection while checking results. The provisional mark sheet should be downloaded and printed for immediate use. Original documents will be distributed through schools after May 14.
