The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has demanded immediate action on a complaint lodged against National Institute of Civil Services Examinations (NISCE) managing director Suman Saha and his associates for alleged cheating, financial exploitation, mental harassment of students, and the abrupt closure of NICSE coaching centres operating in Kohima, Dimapur, and Chumoukedima.
Representation to Nagaland DGP
In a representation submitted to the Nagaland Director General of Police (DGP) on Thursday, the NSF expressed serious concern and deep displeasure over the inordinate delay in delivering justice to the affected students. The complaint against Saha and his associates was initially lodged on February 3.
The federation stated that despite the lapse of considerable time since the filing of the First Information Report (FIR), no visible progress or concrete action has been witnessed. It appealed to the DGP to intervene personally in the case and ensure that justice is delivered at the earliest possible date.
Allegations of Exploitation
According to the NSF, the accused individuals reportedly collected full course fees from students while failing to provide the promised educational services as assured in the institution’s prospectus. Furthermore, the centres were shut down without prior notice, leaving students stranded. Repeated appeals by the students for a refund or completion of the course have allegedly been ignored through a series of excuses and evasive responses.
Demand for Expedited Investigation
The federation demanded that the investigation into the case be expedited with immediate effect. It also insisted that all accused persons involved must be traced and brought under the purview of the law without any further delay. The NSF emphasized that such actions are necessary to prevent further exploitation of students and to uphold the integrity of educational institutions in the region.
