UPPSC APO Mains 2026 Schedule Out: June 28-30

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Prayagraj, has officially released the examination schedule for the Assistant Prosecution Officer (Main) Examination 2025. According to the notice issued on May 11, 2026, the mains examination is set to take place in the Lucknow district from June 28, 2026 to June 30, 2026. Candidates who have qualified in the preliminary examination can now access the detailed subject-wise timetable for this three-day examination process. The commission has also stated that the schedule may be revised under unavoidable circumstances.

Examination Schedule Released for Six Papers

The UPPSC APO Mains Examination 2026 will be conducted in multiple shifts over three days. The first paper, General Hindi, is scheduled for June 28, 2026, in the morning shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. On the same day, the General English paper will be held in the afternoon shift from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

On June 29, 2026, candidates will appear for the General Knowledge paper in the morning shift from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The Criminal Law and Procedure paper will take place later in the day from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

The final day of the examination, June 30, 2026, will begin with the Law of Evidence paper from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The Substantive Law paper will conclude the examination process in the afternoon shift from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Recruitment Timeline and Vacancy Details

The recruitment process for the Assistant Prosecution Officer post began on September 16, 2025, with the last date for application submission being October 16, 2025. The preliminary examination was conducted on March 22, 2026, and the prelims result was declared on April 30, 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 182 Assistant Prosecution Officer vacancies. Candidates applying for the post must possess a degree in Law (LLB).

Selection Process for UPPSC APO Recruitment

The UPPSC APO Recruitment 2025-26 selection process comprises multiple stages. Candidates are required to qualify in the prelims written examination, followed by the mains written examination. Those shortlisted after the mains will be called for an interview round. The final stages include document verification and a medical examination.
