Andhra Pradesh Junior Colleges Reopening Postponed to June 6
AP Junior Colleges Reopening Postponed to June 6

The Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has announced a postponement in the reopening of junior colleges for the academic year 2026–27. Originally scheduled for June 1, the reopening has now been moved to June 6.

Reason for the Postponement

In an official order released on Friday, BIE Secretary P. Ranjit Basha stated that the decision was made in light of the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations, which are scheduled to continue until June 5. The board noted that college premises will be required for conducting these examinations, and staff members will be engaged in exam-related duties. This necessitated a revision of the academic calendar.

Details of the New Schedule

As per the revised schedule, all government, aided, private unaided, and cooperative junior colleges, as well as composite degree colleges offering Intermediate courses, will now reopen on June 6 instead of June 1. The board has clarified that the summer vacation stands extended until June 5. Principals and managements have been directed to make necessary arrangements for the revised reopening date.
