The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Bhubaneswar has released a notification inviting applications for re-checking and re-addition of marks for the annual higher secondary examination 2026. The fee for re-checking is set at Rs 200 per subject.

Eligibility and Application Process

Students who appeared for the Higher Secondary (HSC) examination in science, commerce, arts, and vocational streams are eligible to apply. They can submit their applications online through the official CHSE website from June 1 to June 12, 2026. The scrutiny process will cover answer scripts, but project papers and internal assessment marks will not be rechecked.

Valuation Modes

The CHSE has clarified that different modes of valuation will apply for various subjects and streams. For the online valuation category, all theory papers of the science stream, vocational trade subjects, and selected arts and vocational language papers will be covered. In contrast, offline valuation will be conducted for all other arts papers and practical papers of science, commerce, and arts streams.
