Patna University (PU) has announced that all pending examinations will be completed during the upcoming month-long summer vacation, which begins on May 23. The results of these examinations are scheduled to be published in June, ensuring that the new academic session can commence as planned in July.
Examination Schedule Details
Benoy Kumar Lal, the Controller of Examinations at Patna University, informed that the semester IV examination for postgraduate courses of the 2024-26 session will begin in the first week of June. He added that the dates for filling examination forms and depositing fees will be announced within a day or two, with the process likely to start on May 15. The semester II examination for PG courses will be held in the second week of May.
For undergraduate courses, the semester VI examination of the 2023-26 session is scheduled to commence from May 22, with results to be published in June. Similarly, semester II and IV examinations for UG courses will take place in the second week of June.
Regularization of Academic Sessions
According to Lal, the academic sessions at PU are currently running late by approximately one month. However, he assured that this delay will be completely regularized by December this year through timely conduct of examinations and prompt publication of results. The university has already informed teachers about the examination schedule during the summer break and has requested their cooperation for peaceful and fair conduct.
In a move to encourage participation, the university has decided to double the conveyance allowance for teachers involved in invigilation duties and other examination-related work during the vacation.
