Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has publicly taken responsibility for the technical glitches faced by students on the CBSE Open School Module (OSM) platform and assured that the issues will be rectified promptly. Speaking to the media, Pradhan acknowledged the inconvenience caused to students and emphasized that the government is committed to resolving the problems at the earliest.
Technical Glitches in CBSE OSM
The CBSE OSM platform, designed to facilitate open schooling for students, has been experiencing technical difficulties, leading to disruptions in the learning process. Many students reported issues such as login failures, slow loading times, and inability to access course materials. These problems have sparked widespread concern among students and parents alike.
Minister's Assurance
In a statement, Pradhan said, "I take full responsibility for the glitches in the CBSE OSM system. We are working round the clock to fix these issues and ensure a seamless experience for students. Our technical teams have been deployed to address the problems, and we expect a resolution soon." He further urged students to remain patient and assured them that their academic progress would not be hampered.
The minister also highlighted that the government is investing in digital infrastructure to prevent such issues in the future. "This is a learning curve for us. We are committed to strengthening our digital platforms to provide uninterrupted education to every student," he added.
Reactions from Stakeholders
The announcement has been met with mixed reactions. While some students and parents have welcomed the minister's proactive approach, others remain skeptical about the timeline for resolution. A parent from Delhi expressed, "It's good that the minister has taken responsibility, but we want to see concrete action. Our children's education cannot be compromised."
Educational experts have also weighed in, emphasizing the need for robust testing of digital platforms before launch. Dr. Anjali Sharma, an education policy analyst, said, "The CBSE OSM glitches highlight the importance of thorough testing and contingency planning. The government must ensure that such issues do not recur."
Way Forward
The Ministry of Education has formed a dedicated task force to monitor the rectification process. The task force will provide daily updates on the progress and ensure that all technical issues are resolved within a week. Additionally, the ministry plans to conduct a comprehensive audit of all digital education platforms to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
In the interim, students facing difficulties can reach out to the CBSE helpline or send their queries via email. The helpline number and email ID have been prominently displayed on the CBSE website.
Pradhan concluded by reiterating his commitment to quality education. "Every student deserves access to seamless learning. We will leave no stone unturned to make that happen," he said.
