The Tamil Nadu SSLC examination results for this year have shown a marginal improvement in the overall pass percentage, reaching 94.31% compared to 93.80% in the previous year. A total of 8,70,643 students appeared for the exam across the state, comprising 4,35,247 girls and 4,35,396 boys.
Girls Outshine Boys
Girls have once again outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 96.47%, which is 4.32% higher than the boys' pass percentage. This trend continues to highlight the academic excellence of female students in the state.
District Performance
Pudukottai district topped the list with an impressive pass percentage of 97.57%, closely followed by Sivagangai at 97.54%. In terms of government schools, Sivaganga led with 97.42% and Pudukottai secured the second position with 97.09%.
School-Wise Performance
A total of 12,647 schools participated in the examination. Among them, 5,171 schools achieved a 100% pass rate, including 1,931 government schools. Additionally, 8,233 schools recorded a pass percentage above 95%, with 3,463 being government schools.

Gender-Based Performance in Schools
Girls' schools achieved a pass percentage of 96.42%, while boys' schools recorded 88.50%. Chennai district ranked 29th among all districts with a pass percentage of 92.34%.
