Ahmedabad: Nearly two months after the State Examination Board administered the Teacher Aptitude Test Higher Secondary (TAT-HS) 2026, the outcomes have been announced. According to official statistics, 51,971 candidates have qualified by achieving 70 marks or above, the minimum requirement set at 35 percent. The overall pass percentage stands at 35.21 percent. Notably, 1,666 candidates scored 120 marks or higher, indicating strong performance among top achievers.

Exam Details and Participation

The examination was conducted on April 12 to recruit teachers for higher secondary schools throughout the state. Out of 1.7 lakh applicants, 1.5 lakh candidates actually appeared for the test.

Answer Key and Result Process

Following the exam, a provisional answer key was released, and candidates were invited to submit objections. After reviewing the suggestions, the final answer key was published on June 4, paving the way for the declaration of results.

Next Stages: Main Exam

Candidates who qualified in the preliminary test will now appear for the main exam. The Gujarati-medium main exam is scheduled for July 19, while the English- and Hindi-medium exams are likely to be conducted in August.

Re-evaluation Opportunity

The board has also provided an opportunity for candidates to seek rechecking of their OMR sheets. Applications for re-evaluation can be submitted at Gandhinagar between June 18 and 30.

Medium-wise Performance

In terms of medium-wise performance, the majority of qualified candidates belong to the Gujarati medium, with 50,066 candidates scoring above 70 marks. In comparison, 1,696 candidates from the English medium and 209 from the Hindi medium crossed the qualifying mark.

The declaration of results marks a crucial step in the teacher recruitment process, with thousands of candidates now preparing for the next stage of selection.
