A 43-year-old man, who was beaten on suspicion of aiding a girl in eloping with her boyfriend in Sanawad police station area of Khargone district, died on Tuesday, leading to protests by his family and villagers. Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
Incident Details
Sanawad police station in-charge Dharmendra Yadav informed TOI that an adult girl had eloped with her boyfriend on June 4, and the couple subsequently married. The boy later informed police about the marriage and stated they would appear before authorities at the Sanawad police station on June 10.
