SSC CGL 2025 Final Result: 15,118 Candidates Shortlisted

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the final result for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025. As per the notification issued by SSC Headquarters on May 14, 2026, a total of 15,118 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for appointment to various Group B and Group C posts in ministries and departments under the Government of India.

Selection Process and Sliding Verification

Candidates who were included in the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) were required to undergo the Sliding and Identity Verification process conducted in April 2026. The Commission clarified that those who did not participate in this process were not considered for the final allocation. Furthermore, the fresh ranks assigned in the final result will replace the earlier FRTA ranks announced previously.

Category-Wise Vacancy Details

SSC released separate vacancy figures for different posts, including Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), Statistical Investigator Grade-II, and other posts. The table below summarizes the category-wise distribution:

FIX and FLOAT Option Details

During the sliding process, candidates were given FIX and FLOAT options for post allocation preferences. The Commission reported that 10,165 candidates opted for FIX, while 4,501 chose FLOAT. Additionally, 452 candidates were allocated new posts against absent candidates. The allocations were prepared based on merit, post preference, and the options selected during the verification process.

Recommended Candidates Across Categories

The Commission confirmed that all notified vacancies have been provisionally filled through the final selection process. The table below shows the number of recommended candidates per category:

Posts Included in Final Allocation

The final result includes appointments for several Group B and Group C posts, such as Inspector of Income Tax, Inspector (Central Excise), Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector in CBI, Tax Assistant, Auditor, Accountant, Upper Division Clerk, Junior Statistical Officer, and Statistical Investigator Grade-II. SSC noted that one HH vacancy was filled through the vertical category due to the unavailability of a suitable candidate under the reserved category. The result of 106 candidates has been kept withheld for various reasons. The Commission also clarified that no reserve list or waiting list has been prepared.

According to SSC, detailed marks and final answer keys for both selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded separately on the official website. Further document verification and appointment formalities will now be conducted by the respective departments allocated to the candidates.
