The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has rolled out crucial updates for aspirants of the Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2025. In an official notification, the Commission has informed candidates about the process to check their allotted examination city and introduced a mandatory, revamped registration system for those planning to use an 'Own Scribe' facility for Paper-II.
New Aadhaar-Linked Scribe Registration Mandatory
In a significant policy shift, the SSC has made fresh scribe registration compulsory under a new Aadhaar-based framework. All previous scribe registrations created before November 5, 2025, have been invalidated and removed from the system. Candidates who intend to use their own scribe for Paper-II must now ensure their scribe completes a new online registration integrated with Aadhaar authentication.
This means any individual willing to act as a scribe must undergo Aadhaar-based verification and fill out the new registration form on the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in). The Commission will use the registration number generated post-authentication to issue the crucial Scribe Entry Pass.
Updated Age Limit and Mapping Deadline
The Commission has also confirmed an updated age eligibility criterion for scribes. For the 2025 Hindi Translators Examination, the maximum permissible age for an 'Own Scribe' is 22 years. Other existing rules regarding scribe use remain unchanged.
Candidates must map their scribe's One-Time Registration (OTR) number to their application to generate the Scribe Entry Pass. This mapping process is mandatory and has a strict deadline. The last date to complete the scribe OTR mapping is December 10, 2025, until 11:00 PM. Only those who fulfill this requirement within the timeline will receive the pass.
Exam City Details and Admit Card Timeline
Meanwhile, candidates appearing for Paper-II can now log in to a designated module on the SSC website to check the city where their examination centre is located. This facility is currently active. Aspirants should use their application login credentials to access this information.
Regarding admission documents, SSC will activate the download link for the Admission Certificates (admit cards) for Paper-II approximately two to three days before the examination date. The Scribe Entry Passes will be released simultaneously during this window.
Paper-II of the Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2025, is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2025. Candidates will be able to download both their Admission Certificate and Scribe Entry Pass from the portal's login module once they are made available.
