UPPSC Reschedules RO/ARO Mains 2023 to Feb 2-3, Avoids Clash with UP Junior Assistant Exam
UPPSC RO/ARO Mains 2023 New Dates: Feb 2-3

In a significant move addressing student concerns, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially altered the dates for the upcoming Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) 2023 mains examination. The decision comes after numerous candidates highlighted a scheduling conflict with another major state recruitment test.

Revised Examination Dates and Detailed Timetable

Originally slated for January 31 and February 1, the crucial mains examination will now be conducted on February 2 and 3, 2025. This revision was formally announced by UPPSC Deputy Secretary, Virendra Mani Tripathi. The conflict arose because the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission had scheduled its Junior Assistant 2024 examination for February 1, forcing many aspirants to choose between the two.

The commission has released a detailed schedule for the two-day test. On the first day, February 2, the General Studies paper will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The afternoon session will feature the Hindi and Drafting (Subjective) paper from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, immediately followed by the General Vocabulary and Grammar (Objective) paper from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

On February 3, candidates will write the Hindi Essay paper from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This mains examination is the next step for the 7,509 candidates who were shortlisted from the preliminary results declared on September 16, 2025. These candidates are competing for a total of 419 vacancies.

Ayush Department Recruitment Updates

In a separate announcement, the UPPSC has confirmed that interviews for five direct recruitment posts in the Ayush department will take place at the commission's office in the last week of January 2025. The openings include four posts of Reader (Rog Nidan) in the Ayush Ayurveda Department and one post of Professor (Ilmul Atfal) at the Government Unani Medical College.

Furthermore, the commission declared the results for two posts of Reader (Kaumar Bhritya) under the Ayush (Ayurveda) Department. The recruitment process, initiated by an advertisement on October 17, 2024, saw 21 applicants. Out of the seven candidates who appeared for the interview on January 7, 2025, Nitin Sharma and Anju were finally selected.

SSC CGL 2025 Tier-I Results and Scorecards

In related recruitment news, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the final answer key, response sheets, and individual scorecards for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 Tier-I. The initial Tier-I result was announced on December 18, 2025.

Candidates can now access their scores by logging into the official SSC website using their registration credentials. This facility will be available until 6:00 PM on February 8, 2025. Aspirants are advised to download and save their scorecards for future reference in the subsequent stages of the CGL recruitment process.

The UPPSC's decision to reschedule the RO/ARO mains underscores its responsiveness to candidate welfare, ensuring a fair opportunity for all aspirants without forcing them into difficult choices between major examinations.
