Bharat Shiksha Expo 2026 Kicks Off in Greater Noida
The three-day Bharat Shiksha Expo 2026 was inaugurated on Thursday by District Magistrate Medha Roopam at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The event will continue until May 16, bringing together universities, schools, EdTech companies, study-abroad consultants, and skill development institutes under one roof.
Officials stated that the expo is specifically designed for students from classes 9 to 12 who are seeking guidance on stream selection, higher education opportunities, and career choices following the announcement of CBSE board examination results.
Students and parents attending the event can directly interact with counsellors and representatives of educational institutions to explore courses and career pathways in fields such as engineering, medicine, law, management, design, liberal arts, artificial intelligence, data science, and vocational education. Participants from India and abroad are showcasing educational programmes, admission processes, scholarship opportunities, and emerging industry trends.
The programme also features counselling sessions, panel discussions, hackathons, quizzes, robotics workshops, AR/VR experiences, and other interactive activities aimed at familiarizing students with evolving technologies and professional fields. Special sessions on the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, digital learning, and AI-driven education are being organized.
"We are witnessing a rapid transformation in the education sector, where students today are required to make informed academic and career choices at an early stage. Platforms like this provide direct access to institutions, counsellors, and emerging career opportunities, helping students and parents understand the changing demands of higher education and industry," said DM Medha Roopam.
A key event at the expo is the 'Vishwa Guru Sammelan' — a conference focusing on educational reforms, skill integration, innovation, and India's role in the global knowledge economy. The event aims to create a bridge between students' aspirations and the changing demands of higher education and employment sectors, officials added.
