Patna: The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), which holds an A++ grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), has commenced online registration for admission to its 29 postgraduate (PG) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. The registration process began on Tuesday, and candidates can apply through the university's official website until June 4.
Registration Details
Md Mudassir Alam, the Public Relations Officer of CUSB, provided details about the registration process. He stated that all candidates who appeared for the CUET-PG-2026 examination and selected CUSB as one of their preferred options are eligible to register for counselling and admission without any consideration of cut-off marks. This inclusive approach ensures that every CUET-PG candidate who opted for CUSB can participate in the admission process.
Available Programmes
The university offers a wide range of PG programmes across various disciplines. The list includes Data Science and Applied Statistics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science, Life Science, Geology, Geography, Mathematics, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Commerce, Journalism and Mass Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Economics, Political Science and International Relations, History, English, Hindi, Education, Law, Physical Education, and Library and Information Science.
Registration Procedure
Kumar Kaushal, Deputy Registrar of CUSB, explained that candidates seeking admission must register on the CUSB portal. Interested applicants can participate in the counselling process until June 4 by paying a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 500 for each programme. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PWD categories are required to pay only Rs 200 per programme. He emphasized that the programme-wise merit list for admission will be prepared exclusively from those candidates who complete their registration within the stipulated time frame. Only registered candidates on the CUSB portal will be considered for counselling and admission opportunities.
Important Dates
The first cut-off list is scheduled to be released on June 11. Selected candidates can submit their admission fees between June 11 and June 16. In case seats remain vacant, a second cut-off list will be published on June 23, followed by a third cut-off list on July 3. The final list of admitted students for the academic year 2026-27 will be made available on the university's website on July 9. Classes for newly admitted PG students are expected to commence on July 16.
