FDDI Commences Registration for 2026 Academic Session Admissions
The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), based in Rohtak, has officially launched the registration process for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2026 academic session. Admissions will be conducted through the All India Selection Test (AIST 2026), a standardized entrance examination. Candidates interested in pursuing careers in footwear, fashion, and retail can submit their applications online via the institute's official admissions portal.
Eligibility Criteria and Age Requirements
For undergraduate programmes, applicants must have completed Class 12 in any stream from a recognized board. Students who are appearing for their Class 12 examinations in 2026 are also eligible to apply. The maximum age limit for undergraduate applicants is set at 25 years as of July 1, 2026.
For postgraduate programmes, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Those in their final year of graduation may also apply. Notably, there is no age limit for admission to master's degree programmes, providing flexibility for working professionals and career changers.

The undergraduate programmes available include:

- B.Des. in Fashion Design
At the postgraduate level, the institute offers an MBA in Retail and Fashion Merchandise. The last date to submit the online application without a late fee is April 20, 2026. Applications with a late fee will be accepted until April 30, 2026. The AIST 2026 entrance examination is scheduled to be held on May 10, 2026.
