Governor Calls for Transformational Leadership Among Youth
Patna Governor Syed Ata Hasnain delivered a powerful convocation address at the Development Management Institute (DMI) on Saturday, urging young graduates to cultivate transformational leadership rather than transactional approaches. He emphasized that true societal progress requires leaders who can address root causes of problems and drive meaningful change.

Governor Hasnain drew a clear distinction between transactional and transformational leadership during his address. "While following rules and regulations can make someone a transactional leader, our state and country desperately need transformational leaders," he stated. Director Mishra detailed DMI's specialized centers of excellence that are performing exceptionally in critical areas including disaster management, sanitation improvement, and entrepreneurship development. State Rural Development Department Principal Secretary Himanshu Sharma addressed the graduates, emphasizing their crucial role in advancing rural development across Bihar and India. "When you apply classroom knowledge to ground realities," he explained, "you will significantly improve the lives of millions of people in rural communities."
