A voice actor from Red Dead Redemption 2 has confirmed that he will also appear in Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). According to a report by GameRant, Jim Santangeli – who played Simon Pearson in Red Dead Redemption 2 – revealed during a livestream that he had worked on Rockstar Games' upcoming title. While Santangeli did not disclose details about his role, he suggested that his appearance in the game would be small. The update comes as fans continue to search for new information about GTA 6 ahead of its scheduled release in November. Rockstar Games has so far released two trailers for the highly anticipated game.
Actor Says Role in GTA 6 Is a 'Small Bit'
As reported by GameRant, Santangeli said during the livestream that he had done some 'cool stuff' in GTA 6. When asked about his involvement, the actor reportedly described it as a 'little small bit.' Santangeli did not reveal additional details about the role. GameRant noted that he may be restricted from sharing more information because of confidentiality agreements commonly used in major game projects.
The report suggested that players may need to pay close attention to non-playable characters, or NPCs, in GTA 6, as Santangeli could be voicing one of them. This will not be Santangeli's first appearance in a Rockstar Games title outside Red Dead Redemption 2. The actor previously provided voice work for Grand Theft Auto 4, released in 2008. In that game, he was credited as one of the NPC voices in Liberty City.
Other actors who have worked across Rockstar titles include Jay Klaitz, Benjamin Byron Davis, and Ned Luke.
GTA 6 Release Approaches
GTA 6 is scheduled for release in November. Despite repeated confirmations from Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, some fans remain concerned about the possibility of another delay. The identities of the actors playing GTA 6 protagonists Jason and Lucia have not yet been officially confirmed.
