NTA Dismisses NEET 2026 Re-Exam Paper Leak Rumours as Fake
NTA Calls NEET 2026 Re-Exam Paper Leak Claims Fake

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday firmly rejected claims circulating on social media and messaging platforms that alleged a “leak”, advance access, or “sale” of the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination question paper. The agency described these allegations as entirely baseless and part of a coordinated effort to mislead students and the public.

Social Media Reactions Highlight Scepticism

Reactions on social media reflected widespread frustration and scepticism among users. One user wrote, “Amazing, isn't it? Every time there's a paper leak controversy, NTA ends up calling it 'fake news.' And then later, their mistake ends up getting exposed. #NEET2026”. Another user commented, “Don't think if any malpractices occur further again inside the system then taking accountability will give you a free pass to escape...don't care about your tweets and your promises....just treat neet like a national level exam ...for once.” A third reaction read, “Where was the commitment during the first paper leak and many more in history. The issue is NTA and its panelist have sold out education in open market...that's the truth !!”

NTA's Official Statement

In its official statement, the NTA said it had observed messages making such claims and categorically called them false. “These claims are false, fraudulent, and intended to mislead,” the agency stated. The NTA further alleged that “such content is the work of organised cheating rackets that prey on the anxiety of students and their families.” The agency also clarified that these groups were attempting to “extort money by selling fake papers” and emphasised that every such claim being shared is fabricated. It reiterated that the examination system remains secure: “The integrity of the examination process is fully intact, and every safeguard is in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for all candidates.”

Background of the Controversy

The NEET-UG exam held on May 3 was cancelled by the NTA on May 12 amid allegations of a paper leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the matter, and a re-test has been scheduled for June 21. The NTA's latest statement aims to reassure candidates that the re-examination will be conducted with the highest level of security and transparency.
