Karnataka Polytechnic and YatiCorp Forge Partnership for AI Education
In a significant move to democratize access to cutting-edge technology education, Karnataka Polytechnic (KPT), an autonomous institution under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has announced a strategic collaboration with YatiCorp India Pvt Ltd. This partnership aims to offer comprehensive certificate programs in artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics, leveraging YatiCorp's innovative 'AI Card' platform.
Affordable AI Learning with the AI Card
Yathish KS, CEO of YatiCorp, revealed details of the initiative during a press briefing on Friday. He emphasized that the AI Card, priced at an accessible Rs 499, allows individuals from diverse backgrounds to purchase the card and gain unlimited access to online training modules at their convenience. "We have formalized an agreement with KPT, under which the institute will administer examinations for candidates completing the AI courses and issue official certificates," Yathish stated. He further highlighted the global reach of the program, noting that there are currently over 75,000 AI Card users spread across India, the United States, Dubai, and England.
Comprehensive Curriculum and Institutional Support
The AI Card courses are designed to cater to a wide range of learners, covering topics from basic principles to advanced applications in AI and data analytics. The curriculum is structured into 32 distinct segments, ensuring a thorough blend of theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on learning experiences. This modular approach enables users to progress at their own pace while building essential skills in high-demand tech fields.
KPT's Role in Quality Assurance and Certification
Harish Shetty, Principal of Karnataka Polytechnic, elaborated on the institution's involvement in the partnership. He explained that as an AICTE-approved autonomous body, KPT is committed to fostering value-based and futuristic education through collaborations with innovative startups like YatiCorp. "YatiCorp contributes its expertise in AI training, while KPT provides its robust educational ecosystem and credibility. This synergy has led to a fruitful tie-up where KPT will evaluate candidates enrolled in the AI Card courses and award certificates upon successful completion," Shetty added. This evaluation process ensures that the certification maintains high academic standards and industry relevance.
