- Prof. D. P. Agrawal – Former chairman of UPSC.
- Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe – Chairman of National Board of Accreditation.
- Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao – Former director of IIT Delhi.
- Shri R. S. Sharma – Former chief statistician of India.
Scope and Timeline
The task force is expected to submit its report within three months. It will address exam logistics, question paper security, and digital infrastructure. The panel may also suggest a permanent regulatory mechanism for NTA. According to an official statement, the government is committed to ensuring fair and transparent entrance exams.

Recent NEET-UG 2025 saw allegations of paper leaks and grace marks anomalies, leading to protests and court cases. The task force's formation is a direct response to these issues. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated, "We have zero tolerance for any malpractice. The Nilekani panel will bring global best practices to protect the integrity of our exams."
