UPPSC Rejects Hundreds of Applications for Key Examinations
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has taken strict action against incomplete applications. Officials cancelled a total of 899 applications for two important examinations. This decision affects candidates hoping to become assistant registrars or review officers.
Major Rejections for Assistant Registrar Posts
Commission authorities rejected 783 applications for the Assistant Registrar examination. A significant number faced cancellation for missing the hard copy submission deadline. Candidates needed to submit physical forms by September 8, 2025.
Officials identified several key reasons for these rejections:
- 386 applications failed because candidates did not submit hard copies on time
- 380 applications lacked proof of required seven-year work experience
- One candidate tried changing categories without proper OBC certificate
- Remaining applications had various procedural shortcomings
The commission received 6,569 applications for just 38 available positions. Written examinations already took place on April 27 and 28, 2025. Results remain pending, with interviews scheduled after result declaration.
RO/ARO Examination Also Sees Significant Rejections
In a separate development, UPPSC cancelled 116 applications for the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer examination. These rejections followed similar patterns of documentation issues.
Primary reasons for RO/ARO application cancellations included:
- 69 candidates missed the main examination form submission deadline
- 4 candidates obtained qualifications after the November 9, 2023 cutoff date
- 12 applications had invalid or missing computer qualification certificates
- 27 candidates failed to provide proper reservation category certificates
Appeal Process and Deadlines
Affected candidates received limited opportunities to challenge these decisions. The commission established specific appeal windows for both examination groups.
Assistant Registrar candidates could submit appeals until 5 PM on January 21. RO/ARO candidates had until 5 PM on January 20. All appeals required submission to the UPPSC secretary through registered post or personal appearance.
Under Secretary Shailendra Singh emphasized the strict deadline policy. He stated clearly that no appeals would receive consideration after the specified dates. Officials repeated this position multiple times to ensure candidate awareness.
The commission maintains its commitment to procedural integrity. These actions demonstrate rigorous application of eligibility criteria and documentation requirements. Candidates must ensure complete compliance with all examination guidelines to avoid similar rejections in future recruitment processes.
