Examination Centres
Centres have been set up not only in major schools and colleges within the city but also in institutions located in outer areas. Prestigious institutes such as the Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT), Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A), and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) have been designated as examination centres. Additionally, several schools and colleges in Naini, Phaphamau, Jhunsi, and Sahson have been selected to ensure smooth conduct of the examination.
Preparations and Instructions
The district administration has completed all preparations, appointing centre superintendents and observers at all venues. Officials have been instructed to ensure proper security arrangements, uninterrupted electricity supply, availability of drinking water, and effective traffic management around centres. Candidates have been directed to report well before the reporting time and carry their admit cards along with valid identity proof to avoid inconvenience.
UPTET 2026 Update
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has intensified preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 after receiving nearly 20 lakh applications. Official figures show that around 12.12 lakh applications have been submitted for the primary level examination, while nearly 7.84 lakh applications have been received for the upper primary level test. Approximately 4 lakh candidates have applied for both levels, pushing the total number of applications close to the 20 lakh mark.
The commission is likely to conduct the examination between July 2 and July 3. Officials are also considering conducting both papers on the same day in separate shifts for candidates appearing for both levels. This move aims to reduce travel difficulties and ease logistical challenges for aspirants appearing in multiple papers.
