In a significant push for digital education, Delhi's Education Minister Ashish Sood distributed tablets to 240 high-achieving students in the Janakpuri assembly constituency on Thursday. The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and empower students with the tools for continuous learning.

Minister Sood emphasized the critical role of digital tools in creating a robust and sustainable academic path for students. He stated that this annual tablet scheme is designed to provide learners with seamless access to online educational platforms, self-learning modules, and a vast repository of digital content. The primary goal is to ensure that studies continue uninterrupted, even when schools are closed, allowing education to thrive from the comfort of home.

The event also served as a platform to honor distinguished guests who have overcome significant challenges. Sood praised these individuals as role models, demonstrating how obstacles can be surmounted to achieve excellence in both education and public life.
The chief guest was Ayushi Dabas, an IAS officer and former teacher, who topped the country's visually impaired category in her examinations. Other notable personalities present included Abha Khetarpal, who earned a doctoral degree despite having polio, and JNU research scholar Shaurya Sood, a vocal advocate for accessibility who lives with cerebral palsy.
Reflecting on their inspiring journeys, Minister Sood added that their lives embody the resilient spirit found in the poetry of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee—one of never giving up and persistently moving forward.
