Examination Details and Qualifying Marks

The STET 2025 was a significant recruitment drive conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board via Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination was held across a vast window, from October 14 to November 16, 2025, at designated centres in nine districts of the state.

The test was structured in two stages:

  • Paper 1: For candidates aiming to teach classes 9 and 10.
  • Paper 2: For candidates seeking teaching positions in classes 11 and 12.

Each paper was 150 minutes long. The board is expected to announce the results for both papers together.

The minimum qualifying marks for different categories have been pre-defined by the board:

  • General Category: 50%
  • BC and EBC Categories: 45.5%
  • SC, ST, and PwD Categories: 40%

Significance and Eligibility

The STET is a crucial eligibility test for selecting teachers for middle and higher secondary schools across Bihar. The exam witnessed participation from lakhs of candidates, making it one of the largest state-level teacher eligibility exams this year.

To be eligible, applicants must be Indian citizens, at least 21 years of age, and possess the necessary educational qualifications as prescribed by the board. Success in this test is the primary gateway for securing a teaching position in the state's secondary schools.

Candidates are advised to keep their login credentials handy and rely only on the official websites for authentic information to avoid any misinformation.
