CBSE Unveils Hybrid Evaluation Plan for Class 12 Students in the Middle East
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a comprehensive assessment strategy for Class 12 students in the Middle East region for the current academic year. This approach aims to ensure fair and accurate evaluation amidst unique regional challenges.
Dual-Method Assessment Framework
Students in affected areas will be assessed using a combination of completed board exam papers and school-based evaluations. This hybrid model is designed to provide a balanced view of student performance, incorporating both standardized testing and continuous internal assessment.
The board exam component will include papers that have already been administered, while school-based assessments will cover aspects such as:
- Internal tests and practical examinations conducted throughout the year
- Project work and assignments submitted by students
- Class participation and overall academic engagement
Ensuring Equity and Accuracy
This method is intended to mitigate disruptions and ensure that all students receive a fair evaluation, regardless of local circumstances. By leveraging both external and internal assessment data, CBSE aims to maintain the integrity and reliability of the grading process.
The implementation of this plan reflects CBSE's commitment to adapting its evaluation systems to meet the needs of students in diverse regions, including West Asia and other parts of the Middle East.
