CGBSE Cancels Class 12 Hindi Exam Following Paper Leak, Announces Re-examination

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has taken decisive action by cancelling the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) Hindi examination after confirming reports of a question paper leak during the 2026 board exams. This significant move comes in response to allegations that compromised the integrity of the assessment process, prompting an official investigation and subsequent re-examination announcement.

Exam Declared Null and Void After Investigation

According to an official notice released by the board, the Hindi exam with code 010/810, originally conducted on March 14, 2026, has been formally declared "null and void". The decision was made after social media claims surfaced on March 15 and 16, alleging that the paper had been circulated prior to the scheduled exam date. These complaints led to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) and a thorough probe into the matter.

During an examination committee meeting held on March 23, 2026, authorities reviewed all available evidence and concluded that the fairness of the exam had been severely compromised. The committee unanimously recommended cancelling the paper and organizing a fresh examination to ensure justice for all students and maintain the credibility of the board's assessment system.
