Within the Theog assembly constituency, four such schools are operational in Theog, Kumarsain, Matiana, and Sainj. Additionally, he announced the introduction of commerce as a subject at Govt Senior Secondary School, Sarog, broadening the academic curriculum for students.
Infrastructure Developments and Vocational Initiatives
Beyond education, the minister highlighted recent infrastructure achievements, including the successful commissioning of both circuits of the 66-kilovolt Pragatinagar–Hulli double-circuit transmission line on March 27. This project, completed at a cost of Rs 12.33 crore, aims to enhance power supply in the region.
Later, during a visit to Kotkhai, Thakur laid the foundation stone for six Type-II staff quarters of the public works department, with an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore. In a forward-looking educational initiative, he also announced that horticulture will be introduced as a vocational subject in Classes 11 and 12 across state schools. This move emphasizes research and development, aligning education with practical skills and local economic needs.
The minister's announcements reflect a comprehensive approach to improving both educational quality and supporting infrastructure, positioning Himachal Pradesh as a leader in educational advancement in India.
