Investigation Complete But Report Kept Secret
The five-member committee established by the Rajasthan state education department has finally submitted its investigation report concerning the tragic death of a nine-year-old girl at a private school in Jaipur. However, in a concerning development, the education department has refused to make the official report public, raising serious questions about transparency.
The committee completed its investigation and formally submitted the findings to Manju Sharma, the Joint Director of the education department, confirmed one of the officers involved in the probe. Despite this, the contents of the report remain inaccessible to the public and, most importantly, to the grieving parents.
Officials Evade Questions Amid Political Event
Efforts by media to obtain a copy of the report have been consistently blocked. When contacted, Joint Director Manju Sharma did not respond to repeated inquiries. Similarly, the team of Education Minister Madan Dilawar deflected requests, citing their involvement in the three-day 'Jaago Jagaao Ekta Padyatra' which commenced on Monday.
The minister's office stated they had been too preoccupied with the political march to review the submitted report, further delaying any potential action or public disclosure.
Parents' Association Alleges Major Cover-Up
The lack of transparency has fueled anger and suspicion among parent groups. The Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh, a collective representing aggrieved parents, has publicly accused the education department of intentionally suppressing the report to shield the private school from accountability.
Abhishek Jain Bittu, the spokesperson for the association, revealed shocking details. "The investigation report was submitted as a script, and the investigating officer's immediate promotion is highly suspicious," Bittu alleged. "On the very day the officer submitted his report, he was promoted within just two hours and immediately relieved from his position."
He emphasized the profound injustice faced by the family, noting that the child's parents have also been denied a copy of the report that details the circumstances surrounding their daughter's death. This sequence of events has created a cloud of doubt and has left the public demanding answers and accountability from the education authorities.
