JEE Preparation Fuels Academic Triumph for Bengaluru Students in CBSE Class 10

In a remarkable display of academic excellence, two students from Bengaluru have attributed their outstanding performance in the CBSE Class 10 board exams to their rigorous preparation for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). This strategic approach not only honed their analytical skills but also provided a solid foundation for tackling the board exam challenges with confidence.

Kalvi Jayeetha: A Perfect Blend of Discipline and Dedication

Kalvi Jayeetha, a student at Sri Chaithanya Techno School in Hulimavu, achieved an impressive score of 499 out of 500, considering the best of four subjects plus English. Her subject-wise breakdown includes perfect scores of 100 in English, Sanskrit, Social Science, and Information Technology, along with 99 in Science and 95 in Mathematics (Standard).

Kalvi began her JEE preparation as early as Class 8, a decision that she believes significantly enhanced her ability to handle the analytical questions in the board exams. "The preparatory exams from the school, along with model papers, helped me a lot," she shared. From mid-September, she intensified her focus on the boards, and by December 2025, she was dedicating 5-6 hours daily after school exclusively to board exam studies.

Beyond academics, Kalvi is a passionate Bharatnatyam dancer, using this art form as a stress-relief mechanism. She is the daughter of an online trader and a school teacher, highlighting a supportive family environment. Kalvi expressed her aspirations, stating, "I want to crack something hard, and I figured out that JEE is one such exam. I would know who I am and where I stand. That is why cracking JEE has become a dream."

Tarunya B: Leveraging JEE Skills for Board Exam Success

Tarunya B, Kalvi's classmate, secured 497 out of 500, with scores of 97 in English, 99 in Mathematics, and perfect 100s in Sanskrit, Science, Social Science, and Information Technology. Like Kalvi, Tarunya has been attending JEE coaching since Class 8, which she credits for making subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics more manageable during the board exams.

Tarunya noted, "Many students found maths tough. But not for me. Based on JEE preparation, it was easy for me. Even in chemistry and physics, it helped me." Her goal is to gain admission to an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) after completing Class 12, underscoring the long-term benefits of her early JEE focus.

Additional Academic Achievements

Swanti Goel from National Public School in Indiranagar also demonstrated exceptional performance, securing 99.4% in the CBSE Class 10 exams. This further illustrates the high academic standards prevalent among Bengaluru students, who are increasingly integrating competitive exam strategies into their board preparations.

The success stories of Kalvi and Tarunya highlight a growing trend where students are using JEE preparation not just for engineering aspirations but as a comprehensive tool to excel in board exams. Their achievements serve as an inspiration for peers, emphasizing the value of early planning, consistent effort, and a balanced approach to academics and extracurricular activities.
