Patna's educational landscape came alive with vibrant celebrations as two prominent institutions hosted major events that captivated students, parents, and community members alike.
Notre Dame Academy Transforms into Carnival Grounds
Notre Dame Academy in Patna successfully hosted its much-anticipated annual fete, 'Fundazzle 2025', on Saturday, transforming the school campus into a spectacular carnival of colors, flavors, and celebration. The event lived up to its dual themes of "Step in for fun, step out with joy" and "Eat-Play-Enjoy, All for a Cause," creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
The opening ceremony received star power as actor and proud alumna Neetu Chandra graced the occasion, adding glamour and nostalgia to the event. Her presence highlighted the strong connection between the institution and its successful alumni.
Record Attendance and Diverse Attractions
The scale of Fundazzle 2025 was monumental, with over 4,000 visitors thronging the school campus throughout the day. The grounds were dotted with 66 diverse stalls that offered something for everyone. What made this year particularly special was the strong student participation - 40 stalls were proudly managed by students showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
The remaining 26 stalls were allocated to external vendors and sponsors, creating a perfect blend of educational and commercial activities. Food stalls emerged as the undeniable crowd-pullers, serving everything from sizzling street-style chaat to refreshing soft drinks that kept visitors energized throughout the day.
Beyond culinary delights, the exciting game zones and ever-popular Housie (tambola) stalls witnessed non-stop enthusiasm, with long queues forming consistently as participants tried their luck and skills. The event saw active involvement from school administration with Principal Sr Mary Neha, along with the entire staff, present to oversee the festivities and interact with visitors.
Historic Coffee Table Book Launch
A significant highlight of the day was the launch of the school's first-ever coffee table book, which served as a beautifully crafted tribute to the institution's infrastructure journey. The publication documents the vision of Notre Dame Academy's founders and celebrates the remarkable achievements of its alumni through the years.
The fete will continue until November 30, giving more community members the opportunity to experience the excitement and contribute to the causes supported by the event.
St Joseph Convent's Vibrant Annual Function
Meanwhile, St Joseph Convent High School in Bankipur celebrated its primary wing's annual function on the same Saturday, showcasing the incredible talent of its youngest students. The event featured a series of vibrant performances that left the audience mesmerized.
Young students enthralled attendees with folk dances from across India, representing the country's diverse cultural heritage. The program also included soulful songs on faith and a thought-provoking play that delivered an important message about parents spending quality time with their children.
Meaningful Performances with Social Messages
The English skit "Mobile Mania" highlighted the need for balance in the digital age, addressing contemporary concerns about screen time and digital addiction. Complementing this was "Hamesha Khush Raho," a meaningful Hindi skit that delivered a heartwarming message about finding happiness through kindness and positive relationships.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Archbishop Sebastian Kallupura as chief guest, who inspired students to embrace moral values and positive thinking in their daily lives. Principal Sr Josephine and Sr Neelima were present to welcome guests and encourage the young performers.
Guest of Honour IAS Akanksha Anand praised the children's exceptional talent and the school's commitment to excellence. She emphasized that true education goes beyond academics to build character and prepare students for life, echoing the institution's holistic approach to learning.
Both events demonstrated how Patna's educational institutions are creating enriching experiences that combine entertainment with meaningful learning and community engagement.
