Pilibhit Students Excel in National Budget Competition, Earn Virtual Meeting with PM Modi

In a remarkable achievement, four students from Goswami’s Moms Pride School in Pilibhit have been shortlisted for the final round of the prestigious My Bharat Budget Quest 2026. This national-level initiative, organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs, saw over 12 lakh participants across India, with these young minds emerging as top contenders for a virtual dialogue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Details of the Shortlisted Students and Competition Rounds

School principal Sonia Goswami proudly announced the names of the selected students: Parth Agarwal from Class 10, Riddhima Agarwal from Class 11, Anushka Shrivastav from Class 10, all pursuing commerce, and Siddhi Singh Deshwar from Class 12 in humanities. Their journey to the finals involved clearing two rigorous rounds. First, an online quiz held between February 3 and February 22, where participants had 15 minutes to answer 30 questions. This was followed by an essay-writing round from February 23 to March 3, allowing students 60 minutes to craft a 500–1000-word essay on topics from a prescribed list.

Principal Goswami elaborated on the essay topics chosen: "Parth focused on green budgeting, Riddhima and Siddhi selected human capital formation, while Anushka wrote about Viksit Bharat. Contestants were given 11 days to prepare their essays, showcasing their deep understanding and creativity."

Virtual Interaction with Prime Minister and Official Recognition

District Youth Officer Amit Kumar confirmed that the shortlisted students have been invited to Lucknow for the final event. There, they will virtually interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at the Rehmankhera State Agriculture Farm. The dialogue will center on the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and India’s economic future, providing a platform for these young voices to contribute ideas.

Lauding their accomplishment, Principal Goswami said, "We are immensely proud of our students. They are not only representing our school on a prestigious national stage but also embodying the youthful energy of Pilibhit. Their excellence and readiness to grasp the country’s fiscal policies and contribute to economic development are truly inspiring."
