In Pune, concerns have arisen among parents as the IIT Mains examination and the Pinkathon, a 10-kilometer women's marathon, are both scheduled for April 5 in the Hadapsar area. According to official statements, only one flank of internal roads will be cordoned off as necessary between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM to ensure the safety of the runners. Inspector Sachin Jadhav from the traffic department emphasized, "Parents will not face any issue while taking their children to the examination centre in Ramtekdi, Hadapsar. All main roads will be kept open. Only one flank of the internal roads will be cordoned off for the duration of the marathon."
He further explained that traffic is generally lighter in these areas on Sunday mornings, and additional police presence will be deployed to prevent any congestion. This proactive measure aims to balance the needs of both the marathon participants and the exam-going students and their families.

The Pinkathon route is designed to start and end at the AFMC Athletic Ground, with the event concluding by 9:00 AM. The specific path begins at Gate No. 4 of AFMC, taking a left turn onto Turf Club Road, followed by a right onto Wanowrie Road. It then continues via Staveley Road, a left onto Right Flank Road, along Kondhwa Road through Lullanagar, a left onto the flyover, rejoining Wanowrie Road, and finishing at Gate No. 6 of the AFMC ground.
