In a proactive move to ensure the smooth conduct of the CBSE Class XII examinations, the Ranchi administration has devised a detailed plan for Friday, even as the city prepares for traffic restrictions due to Ram Navami processions. This initiative aims to prioritize the safety and timely arrival of students at their examination centers, with authorities emphasizing coordination between traffic management and public events.
Traffic Management and Alternative Routes
Officers announced on Thursday that alternative routes have been established specifically for the movement of students. Adequate police forces will be stationed at all examination centers to monitor and assist with any disruptions. The administration has issued a public appeal, urging examinees to arrive at their centers well in advance to avoid any last-minute delays.
SP (Traffic) Rakesh Singh highlighted the administration's commitment, stating, "All traffic police personnel have been instructed that despite the restrictions, they should not stop students heading towards their exam centers. Organizers of Ram Navami processions have also been asked to ensure that any student or patient caught in the crowd is given immediate passage." This dual approach underscores the effort to balance religious festivities with academic responsibilities.
Police Preparedness and Flag Marches
To reinforce security and readiness, police conducted extensive flag marches across various areas of Ranchi on Thursday. One such march commenced from Albert Ekka Chowk and traversed multiple locations, concluding at Lalpur. Additionally, officers, along with bike squads, executed similar exercises in key areas including Lower Bazaar, Hindpiri, Daily Market, Chutia, Doranda, Sadar, and Bariatu police station zones.
During these marches, officers assessed sensitive spots, reviewed the deployment status of police forces, and provided briefings to ensure preparedness. The administration also leveraged drone technology to monitor the situation, enhancing surveillance capabilities for real-time assessment.
SDO (Sadar) Kumar Rajak explained the purpose of these measures, saying, "The flag marches are intended to send a clear message that the administration is fully geared up to handle any emergency situation.
