SSC Unveils Crucial Schedule for 2025 Examinations and Overhauls Scribe Facility

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the pivotal dates for two major upcoming examinations: the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Examination 2025 (Paper II) and the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2025 (Tier II). In a significant procedural update, the commission has also implemented a completely revised system for candidates who wish to utilize the facility of a personal scribe during these tests.

Major Changes to Scribe Registration Process

According to the latest notification issued by the SSC, all scribe registrations that were completed before November 5 have been summarily cancelled. Candidates who intend to avail the "own scribe" facility must now register afresh under the new framework. This overhaul introduces a mandatory Aadhaar-based authentication requirement for scribe registration. The primary objective of this enhanced verification step is to ensure proper identification and substantially reduce discrepancies or fraudulent entries in the system.

Under the new guidelines, candidates are required to submit the official registration number of their designated scribe. This unique identifier will be critically used by the commission for issuing admit cards and for all subsequent examination-related correspondence. The SSC has established strict deadlines for this mapping process. For the Junior Engineer Paper II examination, the final date for completing scribe mapping is fixed as April 3. Meanwhile, candidates appearing for the CHSL Tier II examination have a slightly extended window and can finalize their scribe registration until April 5, 11 PM.

Detailed Examination Schedule and Admit Card Timeline

The commission has provided a comprehensive timeline for both examinations. The Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Paper II examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 7, 2025. Candidates will be able to check their allotted examination city details starting from March 27. The official admit cards for this exam will be released for download on April 4.

For the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier II examination, the test date is set for April 10, 2026. The details regarding the allotted examination city for CHSL candidates will be made available from April 1. Subsequently, candidates can download their admit cards commencing April 7. The SSC has strongly advised all aspirants to regularly check the official website for any further updates or announcements.

Release of Final Answer Key and Response Sheets for JE Paper I

In a separate but related development, the Staff Selection Commission has released the final answer key, the official question papers, and the individual response sheets for the Junior Engineer Examination 2025 (Paper I). The results for Paper I were announced earlier this month. Candidates can now access their personalized answer sheets and detailed scorecards by logging into the official SSC portal using their unique registration ID and password.

It is crucial for candidates to note that the final answer key and the response sheets will remain available for download only until April 6, 6 PM. After this deadline, access to these documents will be closed. The commission encourages all concerned candidates to download and save these important documents within the stipulated time frame for their personal records and future reference.
