The vibrant city of Attingal is set to come alive with cultural fervor as the much-anticipated Thiruvananthapuram Revenue District School Youth Festival prepares to kick off on December 1. This spectacular five-day event promises to be a cultural extravaganza showcasing the talents of young students from across the district.

Massive Participation and Event Details

The festival will witness massive participation with 8,299 talented students from 1,002 schools across 12 educational sub-districts ready to showcase their abilities. These young participants will compete in an impressive 317 different events, covering various art forms and cultural activities that highlight Kerala's rich artistic heritage.

Multiple Venues and Additional Festivals

The Attingal Government Girls Higher Secondary School will serve as the main venue for the youth festival. However, competitions will spread across 14 different locations throughout Attingal to accommodate the massive scale of events. Additional venues include Attingal CSI, Town UPS, DIET LMS LPS, Scout Hall, and Boys Higher Secondary School among others.

Adding to the cultural richness of the event, parallel festivals will take place alongside the main youth festival. The district will also host Arabic and Sanskrit literary festivals, providing platforms for students to exhibit their proficiency in these classical languages.

Arrangements for Participants

Organizers have made comprehensive arrangements to ensure smooth functioning of the event. The Attingal College Ground has been designated as the central meal distribution point where participants and accompanying staff will receive food throughout the five-day festival. This centralized system aims to provide nutritious meals to all involved in the cultural marathon.
