A young engineering student from Telangana has died in a tragic fire incident in Germany, leaving his family in India devastated and appealing for assistance to bring his body home.
Tragic Incident on New Year's Eve
Thokala Hruthik Reddy, a 22-year-old from Malkapur village in Jangaon district, lost his life on December 31 after a fire broke out in his apartment building in Brandenburg, near Berlin. According to information received by his grieving family, the fire spread rapidly across the floor where Hruthik lived, trapping him inside.
With flames engulfing the area and no visible escape route, the young student made a desperate decision to jump from the building. He sustained critical head injuries from the fall. Although he was rushed to a hospital immediately, he could not be saved.
Who Was Hruthik Reddy?
Hruthik was a bright student pursuing a master's degree at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Potsdam, a city located southwest of Berlin. Before moving to Germany for higher studies, he had completed his engineering education at a private college in Warangal, Telangana.
His relatives in Malkapur village stated that they were informed of his untimely death by the German authorities. The cause of the devastating fire is not yet known.
