The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved an increase in the annual MBBS intake at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, from 150 to 200 seats, effective from the 2026-27 academic session.

The approval marks a significant milestone in GMCH-Chandigarh’s ongoing efforts to strengthen undergraduate medical education and expand access to quality medical training.
