IIM Sirmaur Marks Milestone 10th Convocation with Grand Ceremony
The Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur celebrated a significant academic milestone as it conducted its 10th annual convocation ceremony on April 19. The prestigious event took place at the institute's Dhaula Kuan campus in Shimla, where over 340 students successfully graduated across various programmes.
Robust Placement Season with Impressive Salary Packages
During the convocation address, Director Prafulla Y Agnihotri highlighted the institute's exceptional placement performance. He revealed that 220 companies participated in the recent placement drive, extending more than 250 job offers to the graduating students. The average annual compensation package stood at an impressive Rs 15.9 lakh, while the highest package reached a remarkable Rs 30 lakh per annum.
Academic Excellence Recognized with Prestigious Awards
The ceremony was particularly notable for honoring outstanding students who demonstrated exceptional academic and all-round performance:
- Yash Munot received dual honors - the Director's Gold Medal and the Gold Medal for Best All-Round Performance.
- In the Executive MBA category, Kunal Gupta was awarded the Chairman's Gold Medal, while Gunjan Kapoor received the Director's Gold Medal.
- Keshav Jaswal secured the Chairman's Gold Medal for achieving first rank in the MBA programme.
Specialized Programme Achievers Honored
The institute also recognized excellence in specialized academic domains:
- Govind Garg received the Gold Medal for Academic Proficiency in Finance
- Pratham Kedia earned the Gold Medal for Academic Proficiency in Marketing
- Aekkus Bir Singh Ahuja was awarded for Best Academic Performance in MBA (Tourism Management)
