Speaking at the event, IIT Kanpur Director Prof. Manindra Agrawal emphasized that the Golden Jubilee Reunion was a celebration of both individual accomplishments and the enduring bond shared with the institute. On behalf of the batch, alumnus Muktesh Pant reminisced about the Class of 1976's longstanding tradition of collective philanthropy and sustained engagement with IIT Kanpur. He referenced a previous batch-led contribution made nearly 25 years ago, which, through prudent investment by the institute, was later directed towards the LVAD project. This earlier funding helped establish the groundwork for artificial heart research at the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology at IIT Kanpur, demonstrating the lasting impact of alumni support.
